1.7 Confidentiality Policy

To ensure the safety and privacy of adult, youth, and child victims of domestic and sexual violence it is the policy of PAVE to protect the confidentiality of those who seek services.

It is also the policy of PAVE to hold confidential all personally identifying or individual information, communications, observations, and information made by, between, or about program participants, including the identity of program participants. All program staff are charged with maintaining the confidentiality of program participants as outlined in PAVE policies.

PAVE shall not disclose any personally identifying information or individual information collected in connection with services requested, utilized, or denied through its programs nor reveal any individual program participant information without the informed, written, reasonably time-limited consent of the person about whom information is sought, or in accordance with other guidelines as set forth below. These will be kept on file for up to a year.

The obligation to maintain confidentiality does not end when service to a program participant or employment/involvement with the program concludes. Confidentiality extends to all current and former program participants, including those who were denied service, and to all current and former program staff.

No phone/mobile number information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
